Welcome — Guardian Disability Insurance Application

You’ve selected Guardian, one of the most trusted disability insurance companies for
physicians.

We’re glad you’re here and happy to guide you through the next steps.

Before we ask a few questions, we want you to know what to expect. For residents and fellows, the process is simple — there is no medical exam and no income documentation required.

Nothing is final until you review and approve your policy.

Take a moment to review the steps below. When you’re ready, you can begin the application.

Here’s How the Application Process Works

Step 1: Complete the application

You answer a short health and training questionnaire.
Most residents finish in just a few minutes.

Step 2: Insurance company review

The insurance company reviews your application.
There is no medical exam and no income paperwork for residents and fellows.

Step 3: You receive an offer

The insurance company makes an offer with your benefit and price.

Step 4: You decide

You review the offer.
If it works for you, you accept it.
If not, you can make changes or walk away.

Paying your first premium

You have two options:

Pay now to allow for conditional coverage during review

Or wait and pay after approval

Both are okay.

Final approval

Nothing is final until you say yes.
You can make changes to your policy at any time during the application process.
Once your policy starts, you can cancel it at any time.
